The Lucky Block mod brings excitement and unpredictability to Minecraft. It introduces a golden block with a question mark on all sides that, once broken, can either grant something good, terrible, or entirely neutral. Crafting these blocks involves enclosing a dropper with eight gold ingots.
Each block's luck ranges from -80 to +80, with negative luck being unlucky and positive luck being lucky. The thrill of the mod lies in taking a chance—breaking a block can either reward you splendidly or bring devastation.
These blocks can randomly appear in your world, occasionally in structures hinting at their luckiness or unluckiness.
A fortunate break might yield rare items like a variety of food, some of which might contain poisonous items. It could even spawn a new horse equipped with armor, useful for a swift getaway after encountering an unlucky block.
However, opening a block with 0 luck might only provide a single sponge. Yet, the curiosity remains high due to the endless possibilities within each block. Unusual outcomes, like a stack of pigs with a villager on top, add a humorous touch.
On the other side, opening an unlucky block could cause destruction, trapping you in hazardous situations. Deadly enemies like armored zombies or powerful, flying undead horsemen might emerge, requiring thorough preparation before breaking any lucky blocks.
Some super lucky blocks may release potions, bestowing either good or bad luck upon breaking them. These potions could lead to sudden fires or grant a variety of beneficial effects, but they might also inflict multiple negative effects simultaneously.
Moreover, lucky swords and bows may appear, dealing normal damage but sometimes delivering lucky hits or firing TNT or meteors.
This mod creatively utilizes gold ingots, providing a fresh purpose for this metal in the game. Ideal for multiplayer servers or game maps, it can, however, be hazardous in a regular map due to its unpredictable nature. Hence, it's advisable to back up or create a specific map for this mod to avoid unintended chaos in your favorite world.
