Cooking for Blockheads Mod – Easy Cooking & Kitchen Setup
Cooking for Blockheads is an awesome addition to Minecraft that offers three different recipe books.
The first book is basic and shows only the recipes for items currently in your inventory. If you have certain food items that match new recipes from the mod, you can easily gather them to create more beneficial dishes. When you open this book, you'll spot the available dishes based on your inventory. Clicking on them reveals the recipes on the left side. It's a helpful guide to know exactly what you can cook without needing to experiment or access recipes in creative mode. This way, you can view them all in one place and create delicious foods that combine their benefits into one dish.
The next book is a step up from the basic one. While the basic book simply lists recipes, you needed to craft them using a crafting table. However, with this upgraded book, you can view and craft the recipes right from the menu. Open the book, select the recipe, view it, and then craft it with just a few clicks.
Then there's the final book, which provides even more information. It lists all available recipes in the game, regardless of whether you have the items in your inventory. This is useful to plan what ingredients you need for specific recipes and then gather them as required.
This mod also lets you create a complete kitchen. Apart from recipe books, it introduces new blocks like fridges and counters, serving as practical storage options for ingredients, much better than using chests or your inventory. Additionally, there's a new tile block that contributes to the classic black and white kitchen aesthetic.
The Oven is a cool upgrade to the standard furnace. It can cook up to 9 dishes simultaneously, making it a better option than a regular furnace for cooking food. It fits well in your kitchen and can stock up to three items at a time. Moreover, it allows queuing up multiple recipes, and once cooked, the dishes go into its built-in inventory. The oven has its crafting grid and specific slots for cooking utensils needed for each new recipe.
