Better Crates Mod – Upgradeable Storage Crates
Better Crates introduces five new storage options, each with upgradeable tiers ranging from wood to obsidian. As you progress through the tiers, the storage capacity increases accordingly.
You can craft each crate separately or upgrade existing ones to higher tiers, preventing resource wastage. To do this, acquire the necessary upgrades and then shift+right-click each crate to elevate its tier. Additionally, you can upgrade existing chests.
A significant feature of this mod is that when crates are destroyed, their contents move along with them. So, if you want to relocate with a vast inventory, simply break the crate using an axe and set it up at the new spot. All your items will remain intact.
Though each tier expands your inventory, investing in Obsidian crates is recommended. These crates not only inherit the storage capacity of diamond crates but are also blast-proof, providing enhanced protection for your valuable inventory.
