Advanced Chimneys Mod – Realistic Smoke & Custom Chimneys
The Advanced Chimneys mod is a fantastic addition for decorative purposes in Minecraft. It offers various chimney options constructed from almost any available block. If you've felt like your homes lack something when it comes to chimneys, this mod will fill that void. These chimneys maintain the classic Minecraft appearance and bring impressive visual animations, creating a realistic chimney design.
Crafting these chimneys is straightforward. Just place three blocks of your chosen design on the left and three identical blocks on the right side of a crafting grid. This creates a block resembling ventilation ducting, which can then be stacked to form chimneys extending through your roofs.
One of the great visual features is that these chimneys redirect smoke from your furnaces outside your home. They take the particle effects, usually disrupting your rustic interior, and move them to a more natural place outside. Placing the chimney atop a furnace causes the smoke to billow upwards when you start cooking or smelting. Moreover, the smoke changes direction based on the wind, adding more visual appeal.
For a neater appearance, you can use a redstone-powered pump below the furnace to direct smoke in any chosen direction. This system can be discreetly hidden underground. Thus, you gain minor yet enjoyable control over furnace-generated areas.
This mod allows crafting chimneys from nearly every block, making it easy to blend them into your existing builds seamlessly. They appear so natural that you might forget you're using a mod.
Additionally, the mod alters smoke color based on your chimney choice. It not only directs smoke for proper exhaust but also enhances visual aspects in your buildings. Formerly, players used spiderwebs atop red brick blocks to mimic chimney smoke. With this mod, you can create actual smoke, enhancing the appeal of your builds. Furthermore, you can customize smoke colors with different chimneys to match your desired aesthetic.
Using pumps with multiple furnaces produces larger smoke billows from the chimney. If one furnace isn't enough for an industrial setup, attaching more pumps to multiple furnaces can direct smoke to a single or multiple chimneys as needed.
