Xaero’s Minimap Mod for Minecraft – Navigate Your World with Ease
Xaero's Minimap stands out among the many options available for Minecraft due to its sleek design that seamlessly fits the game's aesthetic. It offers manual waypoint setting and automatically marks deathpoints if you happen to die. What's more, it's highly customizable to suit individual preferences. Initially, the map appears in the top left corner, but you can adjust this in the settings. Holding down the Z key temporarily enlarges the map, providing a broader view when needed.
Pressing the Y key opens a plethora of settings for customizing the minimap. You can effortlessly change the map's position by selecting "Change Position," which leads to more positioning options. You can manually drag the map to any desired location and confirm the placement once satisfied. Alternatively, choose from preset corner positions top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right.
Adjust the default map size according to your preference bigger or smaller. You even have the option to switch between a square or circular shape. The map can display various entities. Toggling the "Entity Radar" offers choices to show or hide players, teams, mobs, and items. Moreover, customize entity colors and display their names, keeping it simple or detailed as desired.
Creating waypoints for quick travel is easy with a simple keystroke press the B key to bring up a menu for naming and editing coordinates. Once confirmed, the new waypoint is saved to an accessible list, which you can view by pressing the U key. Enable or disable waypoints for visibility during travels while keeping them listed for reference.
The waypoint list shows saved points from different dimensions or worlds. Edit details or teleport instantly to these waypoints. The mod supports travel across dimensions, allowing easy access to various saved portals without relying on specific in-game portals.
The minimap detects when you're underground, providing a quick reference when navigating caves or abandoned mines. When combined with waypoints, it becomes an effective tool to prevent getting lost underground.
