Secret Rooms Mod for Minecraft – Build Hidden Doors and Camouflaged Bases
The Secret Rooms mod introduces various methods to conceal entrances or hide spaces within Minecraft. It offers a range of tools, from concealed switches to camouflaged trapdoors, allowing players to keep their secrets safe. The pivotal element of this mod is the Camouflage Paste, which, when combined with in-game items, facilitates the concealment of bases, loot, or any other hidden elements.
One of the classic hidden switches is the Torch Lever, appearing like an ordinary torch but functioning as a lever. By crafting a torch with a lever, players can easily create a Torch Lever. This disguised lever can be used to conceal passages behind features like fireplaces, waterfalls, or bookcases. Clicking the torch activates the redstone signal it's connected to, just like a standard lever, albeit disguised as a regular torch.
This mod allows redstone connections to be hidden within any block. Secret redstone mimics adjacent blocks, minimizing the space occupied by a standard redstone connection. Entire walls or floors can be connected to redstone without visibly placing any redstone dust.
The Ghost Block is an intriguing addition, enabling any block to be passed through while maintaining a solid appearance. This feature permits the creation of hidden doors or trap floors without requiring additional resources. Anyone can walk or fall right through these blocks.
More sophisticated items include the Secret Lever and Secret Button, which blend with surrounding blocks while functioning as levers or buttons. These can be placed near trapdoors or any block suitable for buttons or levers, merging seamlessly and activating with a single click.
The Secret Trapdoor resembles surrounding blocks and seamlessly integrates into the floor or ceiling, perfect for hiding passages or setting traps. When paired with the Secret Pressure-Plate, unsuspecting victims can trigger traps unknowingly.
The Secret Wooden and Iron Door blend doors with their surrounding blocks, ideal for disguising entrances within structures like mountains. Wooden doors maintain their usual functionality, while iron doors require a redstone current to open, unless using other secret items that masquerade as regular blocks for added secrecy.
Arguably the most valuable item in this mod is the Secret Chest. It adapts to its surroundings, effectively concealing prized possessions within any block chosen by the player.
