Gravestone Mod for Minecraft – Memorialize and Recover Your Loot
The Gravestone mod brings a spooky twist to Minecraft by generating gravestones upon player or tamed pet deaths, holding onto the loot from before demise. But it doesn't stop there it adds even more eerie elements to the game. Expect random spawners for skeletons or withers, along with the possibility of stumbling upon cemeteries and the foreboding wither's catacombs. Brace yourself for the unexpected.
Upon death, you or even villagers might get one of three different gravestones, each bearing an epitaph. If you had a sword in your inventory, there's a chance it'll appear on your grave. Throughout the game, random graves and memorials of various mobs and animals can be found, each also adorned with an epitaph.
For fallen pets, their gravestones offer a chance at revival. By digging up the pet's remains (a slightly morbid task), you can bring back your dog, cat, or horse. Building an altar and using a bit of experience allows for the revival of your beloved pet.
The Catacombs, a vast underground structure, lies at the heart of a large cemetery alongside a mausoleum. It's eerie and infested with mobs, traps, and valuable loot. Plus, it's guarded by the aforementioned wither, so caution is advised in exploring this area.
New spawners within the Catacombs function uniquely. Skeleton Spawners generate various types of skeletons, including those introduced by this mod, like skeleton dogs and cats. Similar options exist for the zombie spawner. The wither spawner, located deep within the catacombs, exclusively spawns the formidable wither. If you manage to confront the wither, survival skills will be crucial. Success leads to a Nether Portal, offering a new challenge. Best of luck!
